Stathis Orphanos was a photographer noted for his portraits of writers, including Stephen Spender. He and his partner, Ralph Sylvester also operated the Los Angeles fine-press publishing company 'Sylvester & Orphanos.' Spender collaborated with them in the publication of Graham Greene's *Weed Among Flowers* and *Tsarouchis: The Face of Modern Greece*. First Edition, First Printing. 384pp. Blue cloth gilt spine lettering, light blue topstain. Very small bookseller label inlay to FFEP, a bit of offsetting to endpapers, some light foxing to fore edge, otherwise clean, sharp and unmarked. Dust jacket has some small tears, light foxing to rear cover. Now in mylar. VERY GOOD / Very Good. Item #509981
