Sun spots to the spine at head and tail where the DJ perished, otherwise exceedingly clean and sharp with crisp pages, tight binding, and sharp corners. DJ extremities rubbed, spine with shallow chips at both ends, red-lettered author name sunned on the spine, white panels somewhat dingy, price intact. *Scientific Man vs. Power Politics* was the first major work by one of the towering intellectuals and political theorists of the 20th century, progenitor of 'Political Realism' aka 'Realpolitik' which would find a prominent embodiment in the career of his most prominent student and protege, Henry Kissinger. Uncommon in any hardcover state but quite scarce signed. 'Scientific Man vs Power Politics, represents his most systematic exposition of a realist philosophy and it constitutes an incisive critique of what he called 'rational liberalism.'
