With PUBLISHER'S REVIEW SLIP. 218pp. Blue paper over boards backed in black cloth with blue, yellow, and purple stamped lettering, maroon top edge, deckled fore edge. With just the faintest hint of toning to the very top of the front board, otherwise exceedingly clean and sharp; DJ with some trivial rubbing to the tips (which this jacket is quite prone to) and spine just faintly toned, clean and bright otherwise with price of $4.95 intact. Stathis Orphanos was a noted photographer and bibliophile and half of the Los Angeles fine-press publishing duo, Sylvester & Orphanos. A wonderful association on a lovely copy of one of the foundational novels of the modern fantasy genre, which 'dramatizes a search for wonder against a backdrop of disenchanted modernity.'
