Meher Baba taught a syncretic spiritual practice incorporating elements of Vedic, Yogic, Judeo-Christian, Sufi, and Zoroaster. While keeping a vow of silence over 40 years, Beber's message spread widely. Adriel was an early disciple of Beber, meeting him in India and returning to the U.S. to help establish "Meher Mount" in Ojai, California, an early temple of the New Age mecca.
