ROSALIND AND HELEN A Modern Eclogue, with Other Poems; bound with THE CENCI: A Tragedy in Five Acts

London: C. and J. Ollier, 1819. Leather. vi, [2], 1-92; [4], vii-xviii, 1-103. 8vo, finely bound by Francis Bedford in full polished tan calf, with raised bands, gilt borders and floral panel inlay, burgundy and olive morocco labels, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. "Rosalind and Helen," printed 1819 with "Lines written on the Euganean Hills," "Hymn to Intellectual Beauty," and, notably, "Sonnet," mistakenly listed in the Contents as p. 98 but actually p. 92, where "Ozymandis" makes its first appearance in book form. Bound together with the 1821 "The Cenci" with continuous pagination of the prefatory material.

Some rubbing to extremities, hinges starting but still tight, front hinge split about 1" from head, typical interior spotting, a few pre-binding paper repairs, pin-sized puncture to 65/66, owner's stamp to FFEP verso. Otherwise a clean, presentable copy with very fresh contents. VERY GOOD. Item #970
